Tomsk State University will offer a five-week free online course in English, The Changing Arctic. Professor Terry V. Callaghan, Nobel Prize winner and a world-leading environmental expert, will address the complex ecological transformations in the Arctic and their influence on plants, animals and eco-system processes, the polar people and the entire population on Earth, according to the Lektorium project's website, https://www.lektorium.tv/

"The course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge about the Arctic eco-system and to inspire students and the global community to treat nature more carefully," reads the course description. "Apart from global warming and ice melting, Professor Callaghan will also share the results of the latest scientific research of a number of environmentalists."
