International Arctic Forum to take place in St. Petersburg in 2021
St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov signed the executive order to establish a working group to prepare and hold the 6th International Arctic Forum.
According to the document, the working group will coordinate the activities and cooperation of all the forum participants and develop a special event plan for the preparations.
The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue forum will take place in St. Petersburg in 2021. According to Beglov, the city has a lot of experience and all the infrastructure necessary to hold such a large event.
“St. Petersburg cooperates with the Arctic regions in almost all economic sectors: industry, construction, fuel and the energy complex, culture, education, and science,” the governor emphasized.
Beglov added that holding such a prestigious forum would expand St. Petersburg’s involvement in the development of the Arctic.
