Arctic.ru, a special project of the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency, and the media group's flagship website, RIA Novosti, have become general media partners of the Two Poles National Award that monitors national projects implemented in the Arctic region, provides their media support, promotion and encouragement.

The award is presented in 12 categories: Healthcare, Quality of Life, Environment, Science, Education, Industrial Production, Agriculture, Infrastructure Development, Digital Economy, Tourism, International Cooperation and Export, as well as Social Initiative. Each category is divided into projects, goods/services and concepts/developments.

Companies of any forms of ownership from the EAEU member states operating in Russia under Russian law are welcome to compete for the awards. Entries for the first stage of the contest can be submitted on the official website of the award until August 20, 2020 (the date inclusive).

The prize is awarded in memory of the achievements of iconic polar explorer Nikolai Kornilov who dedicated his whole life to Arctic and Antarctic studies. He was in charge of the North Pole 10 drifting research station and was the one who proposed establishing Polar Explorer's Day in Russia.
