The winners of the Eco Best Award 2020, an independent public award for the best Russian and international products and practices in the field of ecology, energy and resource saving, established four years ago, have been announced.

Two projects of Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency are among the winners this year:

— Arctic.ru has won the prize as the best international ecology project;

— AR reconstruction, Inside the Elements: Forest Fires, has been awarded as the best ecology awareness project.

The winners in the other nominations are MTS, Tork, Faberlic, SUEK-Krasnoyarsk, and the High-Speed Transportation Directorate (HSTD) of Russian Railways.

"We are aware that the current difficult period has greatly changed our lives, but we believe that now is the time when we must look for systemic solutions to environmental and resource-saving problems. Our priority mission is to promote the best ecology, energy and resource saving," said Eco Best Award Executive Director Yelena Khomutova.

Eco Best Award has been designed as an indicator of development standards in Russian businesses aimed at identifying and encouraging the Russian and international producers of the best environmental and resource-saving products made in Russia. The main categories include: Project of the Year, Discovery of the Year, and Product of the Year. There are also categories for the leading company in promoting environmental safety, for contributions to the development of environmental behavior, and for contributions to sustainable development in Russia.
