In late October, Arkhangelsk hosted the 16^th Kolotilova Interregional Folklore Festival Competition, involving about 20 folklore groups from the Arkhangelsk and Vologda regions.

The competition offered two categories — folklore and ethnographic choirs and ensembles presenting their local folklore as authentically as possible, and folk choirs and ensembles performing adaptations of northern folklore. The program included masterclasses, classes in concert studios, and performances by folk choirs.
