Young scientists in the Murmansk region can apply for compensation for rent up to 25,000 rubles a month.

According to a regional resolution, scientists who meet the following requirements are entitled to compensation: specialists must be citizens of the Russian Federation, no older than 40 years old, not own a residential property, and also be part of labor relations with scientific organizations in the Kola Arctic.

The resolution applies to legal relations that started on July 1, 2023 or later. The bill was initiated by [Murmansk Region] Governor Andrei Chibis as part of the To Live in the North strategic plan.
