A session of The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue international forum on the theme Arctic Potential: The Northern Sea Route as a Driver of Economic Growth will be held as part of the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.

The forum will be held in St. Petersburg on May 24-26, 2018. The SPIEF-2018 key topic is Building Economy of Trust.

The business program sessions will be held in four themed areas.

The theme The Global Economy in an Era of Change will touch on aspects of economic relations in a changing world, starting from demography and the issues of social inequality to energy development and new technology in the agro-industrial complex. The theme Harnessing Russia's Growth Potential will concern the main challenges the country's economy faces, the export potential of Russia's creative industries and ways to take leading positions in the global technology and energy areas. The discussions in the Technology for Leadership section will be dedicated to the way advanced technology influences all spheres of life: the participants will discuss the use artificial intelligence in the real economy, blockchain technology in business and management as well as the digital infrastructure, genetic therapy and breakthrough technology in medicine. The participants in the Human Capital in a Digital Economy section will discuss the transformations of the global labor market and the role of education in a digital economy and competitiveness in a knowledge-based economy.
