Gazprom will allocate funds to develop the Bovanenkovo oil and gas field, build a system of Bovanenkovo-Ukhta gas mains and renovate facilities at the Medvezhye and Urengoi gas fields. These issues, as well as the progress in implementing the general agreement on cooperation between the Yamal Government and Gazprom were discussed at a meeting of Acting Governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area Dmitry Kobylkin and Gazprom Board Chairman Alexei Miller, Arctic-Info reported. 

This year Gazprom plans to invest 144 billion rubles in these projects.

"Today, Gazprom's Yamal policy has entered a new phase," Kobylkin said. "The company isn't just working in this area but is also concerned about local people's problems and supports all our development plans for Yamal in a bid to create truly decent living conditions for people. This is what socially responsible business is about."
