Fishing restrictions set for Nenets Autonomous Area indigenous peoples

Fishing restrictions have been set for indigenous minorities of the North in the Nenets Autonomous Area in 2016. A directive to this effect was signed by Head of the Nenets Autonomous Area's Department of Natural Resources, Environment and Agro-industrial Complex Oleg Belak, the Russian Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and Far East reported citing the department's press service.

According to the document, the total tax-free amount of water biological resources per person per calendar year will amount to 112 kg in the Pechora River and 115 kg in other water bodies.
