Electronic version of the 15-volume Yakut dictionary published

The Institute for Humanitarian Research and Studies of the Indigenous Peoples of the North at the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Siberian Branch has released the electronic version of the 15-volume Big Explanatory Dictionary of the Yakut Language.

The dictionary is divided into sections. Users can search for Yakut words and their meaning, as well as browse the PDF version of the dictionary.

The electronic dictionary features a synthesizer of standard speech that allows users to listen to words and sentences in the Yakut language with correct pronunciation.

The website also has a section with online crossword puzzles in Yakut and a science section with various search filters: by words, by markings and by number of letters. Users can search for idioms, compound nouns, synonyms and antonyms.
