Rosneft has completed a comprehensive engineering survey in the Yuzhno-Russkoye licensed section of the Pechora Sea. As the oil company's press service reports, in 2015, the topographical and geological work was completed ahead of schedule on a total area of 18 sq km.

During the survey, the company conducted sample boring into the bottom soil, a series of engineering and geophysical surveys, monitoring of the hydrometeorological environment, and collecting environmental samples. The research provided the necessary information to further plan geological prospecting.

"Special attention was paid to environmental protection: we fulfilled all the requirements of state environmental standards, as well as the requirements of international and Russian law. In addition, during the entire time we monitored various sea mammals," the Rosneft press service reported.
