Russia to invest over 100 billion rubles in Arctic LNG 2 infrastructure by 2024

In 2019-2024, Russia is to invest almost 104 billion rubles in the infrastructure of the Arctic LNG 2 project, according to information in the draft federal budget, RIA Novosti reports.

In the next six years, the Development Fund will allocate 103.8 billion rubles for building the Utrenny liquefied natural gas (LNG) and gas condensate terminal in Sabetta seaport, as well as federal-owned underwater hydro-technical facilities, ice barriers and navigation-safety systems.

According to RIA Novosti, 17.3 billion rubles will be spent on these projects in both 2019 and 2020, followed by 23.04 billion rubles in 2021. And the breakdown for 2022, 2023 and 2024 is 10.95, 5.12 and 30.09 billion rubles, respectively.
